Adopt An Animal...

 

We believe our Adoption Program is just about the most wonderful way to help the animals!

When you adopt an animal for yourself, a family member or friend, you are showing you care in most meaningful way. Your gift helps ensure the best food, care and veterinary services – and above all, and at long last - a life of dignity and respect for the animal you’ve chosen to adopt. Your contribution makes a huge difference in the life of that animal, as well as for the cause we all believe in.

When you adopt one of our big furry residents, what do you get in return?  SATISFACTION & LOVE!  Yes, the saying "You can't buy love, but you can rescue it" goes a long way toward explaining the reasons behind adopting an animal.  Since the Sanctuary is a refuge for animals, and not a zoo for people, the whole point of becoming involved with our organization is to help the animals.

 

And for those people interested visiting, we'd like you to understand that by coming out to “see” the animals - you have an obligation to their care, their lives, and the lives of many who have yet to be rescued.  We very much appreciate all of the wonderful people that do choose to adopt a rescued animal, as most do so to become connected to supporting a life - a real living, breathing, life!  

 

For most adoptive parents, the entry fee is no longer relevant, as it’s not about what do I get if I adopt an animal.  For them, it’s about helping animals survive on a daily basis.

 

Of course, we want to honor the people that have taken on the responsibility of giving life to an animal, so we have created adoption packages that help our adoptive parents promote the wonderful thing they have committed to do.  The following three adoption package sizes describe the benefits and cost to new adoptive parents.

Large Animal Adoption (Lion, Tiger or Bear):

• A beautiful framable photograph of your adopted animal
• A framable Adoption Certificate, including your animal’s story and a photo
• A Sanctuary Adoption T-shirt (Large Animal Adoptions only)
• Cost: $40/monthly or $480/yearly - (ongoing - or for one year minimum)

 

Medium Animal Adoption (Leopard, Jaguar, Mountain Lion, Camel,

Horse, Ostrich or Wolf):

• A beautiful framable photograph of your adopted animal
• A framable Adoption Certificate, including your animal’s story and a photo
• Cost: $30/monthly or $360/yearly - (ongoing - or for one year minimum)

 

Small Animal Adoption (Serval, Bobcat, Lynx, Fox, Coyote, Coati Mundi, Raccoon, Emu or Alpaca):

• A beautiful framable photograph of your adopted animal

• A framable Adoption Certificate, including your animal’s story and a photo
• Cost: $20/monthly or $240/yearly - (ongoing - or for one year minimum)

 

Only Large and Medium Animal Adoptive Parents contribute at the level considered Active Supporters and can visit the Sanctuary without charge. For new Adoptions, you will become an Active Supporter immediately if you adopt a medium or large animal and pay quarterly or yearly.  If you choose to pay monthly, you will be an Active Supporter after you meet the threshold of $250.00.  For large animal adoptions paying monthly, you will be an Active Supporter after 7 months and for medium animal adoptions paying monthly, you will be an Active Supporter after 9 months.  You will remain active after this time as long as your adoption is active.

 

We can set up monthly credit card or automatic check withdrawals to make it easy to adopt, or you can send monthly checks.
